At Thomson Reuters, we take every precaution to ensure your data is safe at all
times. With that in mind, we want to make sure you are aware of two ways you can
ensure business continuance in any situation.
First, we recommend that you take the
steps to protect your data through regular backups as noted in the Disaster
Preparation section below.
Second, we would like you to know that we are here to
help you get up and running again quickly in the event that your business is
impacted by a disaster. We offer a variety of free services through our Disaster
Recovery Assistance program outlined below.
We strongly encourage you to back up the data from all of your CS Professional
Suite applications using the backup feature within
the programs. The backup options can be accessed from the File |
Backup menu in each application.
This means you'll want to back up all
clients, system data (CS Professional Suite Accounting and Accounting CS), documents (UltraTax
CS), layouts (Client Bookkeeping Solution - CBS), global data (CBS), custom
methods (Fixed Assets CS), custom reports (Fixed Assets CS), practice
data (Practice CS), and any Microsoft Office Database location and system settings
(FileCabinet CS) files.
For detailed or application specific instructions on using backup in each
application please read the online help. Back up the data to a CD, DVD, or external
hard drive device and store this data in a secure, waterproof environment. Backing
up your data will ensure that you can get up and running quickly should unforeseen
circumstances arise, such as hard drive failure.
